1How we earn from stores
Kindred Family Pass is operated by Interactive Ecommerce LLC. Links to stores in our app, on our website and through our browser extension are affiliate links. When a member opens a store through one of them and buys something, the store, usually through an affiliate network, may pay us a commission. This does not change the price you pay.
We are disclosing this in line with the US Federal Trade Commission's guides on endorsements and testimonials in advertising.
2Where the commission goes
We split the commission we receive for a member's purchase. By default, 70% goes to that member's family balance as cash back and we keep 30% to run Kindred. The member share can be different for a store or an offer; the cash back shown before you shop is always the family's number, after our share. Members-only offers pay the share shown on that offer.
Our income is the part of the commission we keep, Kindred Plus subscriptions ($4.99 a month or $29 a year, optional) and a small spread on gift card payouts. The account itself is free. See how we make money for the full picture.
Cash back depends on each store's commission rate and on the store confirming the purchase. Returned or canceled orders are reversed. Rates shown in the app are set by the stores and can change. A store that has not approved us yet shows no rate.
3How we use store names
We use store names, and sometimes simple text marks, only to tell members where they can earn cash back. Store names and logos are trademarks of their owners. Listing a store does not mean that the store sponsors, endorses or is affiliated with us, unless we say so.
4Creator partners
Creators and publishers in our partner program earn 15% of the Kindred Plus payments of families who join through their link, renewals included. A free sign-up earns them nothing. When a creator recommends Kindred Family Pass, they are required to disclose that they may be paid for it. We do not imply that any creator, celebrity or public figure endorses us unless they have agreed to it in writing.
5No endorsement implied
Mentioning a store, product or brand on our site is not a recommendation that you buy it. Buy what your family needs. Cash back is a reward for purchases you were already going to make, not a reason to spend more.
